Lisa is certified in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Mediation.

LESLIE ALLABY
 

LESLIE ALLABY 
MSW, RSW

Has twenty years of clinical experience counselling couples, children, and individuals struggling with various mental health issues.
Specialized interest and training have focused on EMDR trauma therapy, co-parenting after separation/divorce, anxiety and grief.
Provides Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counselling and lunch and learn wellness presentations.
Is currently an Accreditation Reviewer with the Canadian Centre for Accreditation.
Has worked with Interfaith since 2014.


 


 

NANCY GINGERICH
 

NANCY GINGERICH 

Nancy has a Bachelor of Education in Adult Education and is a certified Thanatolgist.
Extensive experience working with children, youth, and adults in the area of grief and bereavement, terminal illness, and life transitions.
Work has also included teaching a large number of volunteers to work with those facing terminal illness.
Speaker at various national conferences in the area of grief and bereavement.
Facilitates grief support groups provided by Interfaith for children, youth and adults


 


 

HENDRIKE ISERT BENDER
 

HENDRIKE ISERT BENDER 
MSW, RSW

Works with adolescents and adults addressing mental health, self-injury and disordered eating both at ICC and at Waterloo-Oxford high school.
Provides counseling for couples, leads a pre-marriage workshop and provides faith-based counselling upon request.
Teaches a course on depression, anxiety, self-injury and introduction to counseling. She has also crisis response planning for institutions and agencies such as schools and emergency responder.

ABBY BECKS

Specializes in addictions and mental health concerns including anxiety and depression, as well as self-harm and eating disorders.
Has worked in harm reduction programs for individuals with addictions since 2010 with House of Friendship and Sanguen Health Centre in Waterloo.
Abby works with teens and adults from a client-driven, strengths-based philosophy.


 


 

MATTHEW ISERT BENDER
 

MATTHEW ISERT BENDER 
MSW, RSW, MTS

Provides counselling at the local elementary schools, facilitates the Boys R Us groups and the Growth Through Marriage workshops.
Specializes in narrative work, attachment and play therapy.
Has a love for the community, and believes that a healthy community is made up of healthy individuals and families. He finds it is a joy to walk with people during the transitions and struggles of life as they seek wholeness and wellness.
With Interfaith since 2003.


 


 

FIONA ROTH
 

FIONA ROTH 
MSW, RSW

Over 20 years of experience working with children and families in various settings including: Children's Aid Society, Ray of Hope, Lutherwood and Kidsability.
Runs the Girl Power groups at the local elementary schools.
Fiona is a Registered Play Therapist.
She treats a variety of children's mental health needs and believes strongly in involving families in the treatment process.
Has worked for Interfaith since 2012 as the Lead School-Based Counsellor.

ALEXA STOVOLD 
MA, MSW, RSW

Experience working with prevalent presenting issues such as: anxiety, depression, work and life stress, suicidal ideation, relationship concerns and more.
Facilitates mental health groups such as Mindfulness and Anxiety workshops.
Strong involvement with the local community and mental health initiatives.
