Jennifer Helmuth is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with a passion for supporting others to find strength, resilience and joy in life. She has experience working with a wide range of individuals from age 17 to 70+ with concerns that include grief, loss, relationships, anxiety, depression and trauma. Jennifer's philosophy is to see the person as a whole, including family, physical, social, creative and spiritual elements. She understands how to draw on these resources to enhance overall wellness. In particular, Jennifer has a keen interest in mindfulness, meditation and spirituality. When clients are interested, she incorporates these aspects into their work together.
Jennifer has a MA in Psychotherapy and Spiritual Care from Martin Luther University College and has experience providing individual therapy through the Delton Glebe Counselling Centre. Prior to obtaining her MA and becoming an RP, Jennifer worked in Human Resources for 20 years with Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA), an international non-profit organization. She is an active volunteer for various organizations in Waterloo and enjoys many pursuits such as biking, hiking, gardening, cooking, reading, yoga and relaxing with her family.
